Bad news. Please help :(

Hi Jodie That's great from a recovery perspective - you won't find the mastectomy so bad. It is frightening when it seems the doctors are in a hurry. I can really relate to that because my cancer was discovered on a Wednesday and the surgeon emphatically told me that I had only two weeks and no more before he would perform the surgery. The only reason I waited two weeks was because he went away first! If he had been in town he would have had my breast off within a week. My cancer was over a 5cm area - very big - and I was totally terrified. However, it is now 15 months later and I am okay and can write to you about my cancer and not cry. I am getting back into my life. Some days are hard but many days are not and life goes on. Trust your doctors to know what's best for you. Xxx Jeanine
