Bad Hair Night

Wow I was not prepared for the sore scalp. During the day not too bad. But ouch! Last night tried to lay down to sleep very painful. Neck pillow a friend had given me helped a little to keep the head off the pillow. Tossed and turned all night till 3 in the morning and then I remembered reading on this site try taking Panadol Oste. Stupidy me I wish I had remembered this when I went to bed. I finally went to sleep. I have put off shaving my head till my hairdresser friend returns back from 12 weeks overseas to do the shave. She will return on Sunday and is all set to do it. We have been friends since we were twenty and she did my hair for my wedding 39 years ago and ever since so I will wait as I feel it will be an emotional moment to be shared with my special friend. Mean while one more sleep to go. I send my best wishes to all the Lovley Ladies going through the same emotions and pain. Love J

  • Hi J

No it is anything but a comfortable experience I agree.  They say a satin pillow helps.  I ended up getting my head shaved after a couple of yukky nights of putting up with it and it settled down.  I am finding it is uncomfortable again now but not painful with my prickles growing back and sticking into pillow and my head, ouchy.

The joys of BC and that wonderful stuff chemo!!

    Take care,
