I am so glad that your partner is now getting the treatment he needs. What a great friend you have. You know she will be feeling good that she could help. That is one thing I have learnt out of all this. Never think it is a problem for others to help out in a crisis. I have had so many friends and even wonderful neighbours who have helped myself and my family during the last 8 months. People want to help, you just have to let them know and they offer left, right and centre.
You and your partner obviously love each other so much, as each of you are more worried about the other than yourselves. But the best thing you can do is to both get well so you can spend lots more wonderful, healthy years together. Things are not so good at the moment, but let the medical staff look after getting you both better and let friends help out along the way. I am sure it will help your partner to relax and get better if he knows you have the chemo visit sorted, so ring some friends or relatives and let them know you will need their help. I am sure they will be keen to help if they can. Let others share the support so you can both get well. Sending lots of hugs to get you through this extra rough patch. Deanne xxxxoooo
