I feel your pain, I really do! I've just had my 4th of 8 rounds. The burping came as a surprise to me too. I guess the stomach has a lot of rapidly dividing cells that get blitzed also. I had the red devil too in my cocktail. Pink pee for a couple of days! Make sure you drink heaps to flush it through your kidneys and to prevent bladder infection. Did your breast care nurse urge you to drink a lot of water (2litres) the day before and the day after chemo. It supposedly helps prevent a lot of the the nausea. Touch wood, it's worked for me. The porta cath has been a great boon for me. After my eight strong chemos I'll be having three weekly infusions of Herceptin for a year. I don't think I'd manage without my plug and play adapter! As everyone keeps telling me, just take it a day at a time. One foot in front of the other and we'll get there. I was also warned about bone pain following the Neulasta shot, but haven't noticed it at all. I find that the breast cancer forums can be quite informative and cathartic. Just writing stuff down gets it off your chest and out of the head. Donna, lay on the couch, read, watch tv, do what you want and what youre able. Nobody has ever died from having a full laundry basket or a dirty floor. Chemo is a bit like childbirth, I find. Once the bad bits are over you forget about it till next time and get on with living!
