Glad you now have a plan, so at least you can now start to move forward. What was your pathology like? I've already completed chemo, 7 months ago. When I had my first mastectomy last December, my pathology showed a 21mm grade 3 tumour, with no nodes involved. I had 4 rounds of chemo with taxotere and cyclophosphamide. I had no major side effects, except the obvious baldness. The mastectomy I had 2 weeks ago, was purely precautionary, as I had decided I never wanted to hear the words, " you have breast cancer" again. Also as I had decided to have reconstruction with implants, I felt I would get a better match having them both off.
