Axillery Node Surgery done...Yah ??

Hi to all

Yah, so relieved. 2nd round of surgery done.

Was first on the surgery list. Was in recovery by 9.30. Surgery took hour and a half. Was back in my room by 11am.

Pain level around 4-5. Was given pethadine at some stage, must of been before I woke up. Just had panafol for rest of the day. 

Bit f cough with airways, asthma etc, but overall feeling pretty okay. 

Just thought I'd share my experience for others about to go through the same surgery. 

Been surrounded by so much love. Feel so ver blessed in amongs this journey.

    Well done Kazza!  Rest up now.  Surgery is such a relief when it's done.  Keep getting regular painrelief so that you can move.

    Hi Kazza,

    You were lucky being first on the list and in recovery by that time! On my last admission (which was unexpected by the way) I was told to be admitted at 7am..I thought okay...well it wasn't until 12 midday that i finally got into theatre. Of course during those 4.5 hours of waiting i was thinking the worst and got a little teary upset...I got back to the ward around 2ish I think.
