As ready as I will ever be
Well tomorrow is the day, emotions are very close to the surface today and I am feeling close to tears.
Don't get me wrong I don't regret my decision, one was going any way an family history helped make the decision on the other.
I am really comfortable with the surgical team and the care I will get based on my experience to date.
I have a great family and great friends and I will get lots of support.
Work is great and supportive so I have no worries there.
So I have nothing to worry about right?
I just feel that the dam is about to burst... The girls are going, I don't want to talk about it, no I don't feel brave I don't feel strong no matter how many times you tell me I am.
I'm just nervous and scared - perfectly normal I guess, does not help tho...
Logical brain is saying all the right things, emotional brain is having a meltdown and all the calls and nice words are lovely but I really don't want to think about it...
Butterfly's - close your eyes breathe " I am safe" - yes I read it and I did it - it helped :-) I will be doing it as I go under tomorrow as I breathe with the oxygen mask on... Those words will get me through and when I wake up it will all be over and pain meds will be my new best friend...
Thanks ladies you are all legends and you have got me safely to this point - see you on the other side of surgery I will probably need you all then too
Big hugs to all
