I agree with @Cath62. I have been with my MELBOURNE oncologist for 10 years and think he is good, also very up to date with research. But I could not, and would not pre-empt his recommendations for any patient. I will
have been on Letrozole for 10 years come May (and will stop then) but that’s his recommendation for me, with my cancer, my age, my risks. I assume you have asked your oncologist why he/she wants to stick to 5 years and there is some disagreement between you. A second opinion might help clarify matters, one way or another. Best wishes.
