Thank you seaford jenny and joy k for your quick replies and your comments. I'm in 2 minds as to what to do about Femara. Naturally the company info tells you it's wonderful and never failing etc and the onc wants you to have it because they want more info for the trials etc. Of course I don't want to get the cancer back but neither do I want to endure the side effects of the drug and at the end of the course, say 5 years, find the cancer returning and then I'd have endured it all for nothing. I know I sound negative and a misery but so many of the side effects are already in my life [osteoporosis, battles with weight, sleeplessness, horrendous hot flushes, when I went through menop. etc.] I just think the cure might be worse than the disease. I've also just read somewhere that Arimidex has been taken off the market in America and 'they' are looking at taking it off in Oz too. Not sure if that's true but that's what it says. It's all so scarey and confusing isn't it. With love and hopes for you, GayB
