Are you kidding me, again?

Well wasn't that just bloody great,

after starting chemo (TCH) last August and just about going to finish on 23rd August this year my routine mammogram and ultra sounds have decided to pinpoint cancer in my other breast!

I knew i was in trouble yesterday while watching the U/S , noticing stuff more that cysts then the Dr. comes in for her own look and it was taking so long then getting a call on the way home to get a biopsy in 2 days was a problem but crap when the Dr  called again today and said straight to see the surgeons tomoz I was very damn angry.

I don't have time for this shit, I was going to be finished with cancer in August!

Now I'm back on that f'n track again.

I better get some decent boobs and a tummy tuck out of this!

  • Hi Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear that they are convinced it is cancer again. Thinking of you tomorrow when you have the biopsy, and will keep my fingers crossed for you, that the results will be benign. Love Chris xx
  • Thanks for all the replies Angels, it's so good to have this sounding board that is our safe plac to come to.

Well I saw my surgeon today and it's definately not benign.

Well isn't that bloody delightful, they just don't wasn't to say it's cancer until full pathology after guided biopsy tomoz.

The team is very confused as to how it could happen after finishing a gruelling TC round and nearly being done with Herceptin but if anything it means it will be a primary so that is good.

There are two lumps and and are a good size but hopefully they are just a blip on the ultrasound but in reality (and that's what we deal in) it's the ugly one and so on with it I go again, really can't be bothered frankly but we all have felt that way before.

    Cheers

  • oh Cheryl , sorry to hear the news.

It must have been devastating. Not fair is it? Just when you thought you were on the home stretch.

Atleast they found it now and not later on down the track. As the others have said, you now know the drill. So I hope it will be easier this time.

Please keep us posted and as JJoy said, hang in there, and we will keep you strapped in.

Love and big hugs to you sweetie , Julie XX

  • You poor thing.Well that chemo has sure been doing it's job - NOT!! You must be soooo over it. I've been on the bc ride twice but at least I had a 7 year breather. It's a kick in the guts on one hand but then on the other,it's been picked up early and you know the drill. Will be thinking of you so let us know how you get on.

  • Oh Cheryl

I am so sorry to hear they have found cancer in the other breast, I hope the surgeon will get on top of it straight away and that is has been caught very early.

I am sure you can get decent boobs and a tummy tuckout of it and a matching pain of boobs from your tummy too, the bonus of a DEIP or TRAM flap.

Let us know how you go with the surgeon and what the plans are.
