Are my ribs supposed to hurt this much?

Morning ladies

Was wondering if it is normal for my ribs to be sooooooo sore? Everywhere else feels ok, but i am finding it hard to get into a comfortable position to sleep.  By the way, have been home since Saturday arvo (was so glad to escape the hospital), got my pathology results on Friday arvo the cancer was bigger than it appeared on scans (was 2cm long) but it was not agressive so there will be no need for radium or chemo, now i just have to get my reconstruction completed and all will be back to normal :)  I was also told that i am healing well. I am going a bit stir crazy, but at least I can now read again (no matter how much i tried to read in hospital my foggy head did not allow me to) and I usually have a couple of friends drop by each day which breaks up the bordom.     Hi  I remember the rib pain well as it was really sore. The doctor told me it was to do with the muscle over the ribs or something. It did go away can't remember how long it took but never bothered me again. Am sure yours will go away as you heal.
