I wonder if half the problem may be that the receptionists think they have to justify cancelling appointments when in fact I totally accept that GPs have to juggle emergencies, just higher priorities and even the times when her own personal life comes first, and that's fine. All I needed was for her or her staff to set me up to have the nurse ring my results through, good or bad. .It just seem weird that these adults think they have to lie to me instead of just saying sorry but there has to be this change of plan.
And the other assumption might be that she is assuming that I would rather wait 24 hours and get the same news from her GP face to face. than be given bad results over the phone by a nurse.
What I find most confusing is the receptionist insisting that biopsy results take two weeks and I had already passed on to the receptionist and the doctor that the provider had assured me that it only takes two days.
