Apocrine
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had Apocrine BC? If you have I'd be interested in hearing about the treatment that you chose or that was recommended. Thanks

Hi again
Now the pathologists can't agree whether it is apocrine of the sweat gland or apocrine triple negative breast in some accessory breast tissue in my armpit!! Can you tell me who your doctor is in Melbourne? I am thinking I need to get another opinion. The waiting around is so awful.
Hope you are doing well.
Ok, my hormone receptors are negative so Tamoxifen won't be an option for me. Will hear on Thursday what the experts are thinking will be my treatment. Did you find a specialist in Melbourne who had had experience with Apocrine? Thank you so much for responding to me - I have felt very alone in this.
Yes had surgery then chemo (4 treatments) and now on Tamoxifen for 5 years as a preventative measure.

What has been your experience so far? Have you just had surgical removal?
Hi, I'm in Melbourne. Yes there is not a lot of information about Apocrine. That's why I posted a message to see what response I get and you are the only one so far. Thanks for replying and I hope all goes well for you.
Hi
I had a lump removed from my armpit - thought to be a subaceous cyst but turned out to be cancer. It is thought to be apocrine - puzzling results still being assessed by pathologists and oncologist. Appears to be no breast involvement as nothing is showing up on mammogram, ultrasound, CT scan, breast MRI!!! Not sure what will happen next. So glad to find someone else with same cancer even if in different place. Not much information out there about it. Where are you? I am in Adelaide.
