Hi @duxx1234 so sorry to hear your skin has suffered so badly. The strata is best used as a preventative barrier before the reaction starts, if it wasn't so expensive I'd say buy a small tube and slap everything on at your poor skin. It sounds as though you were unfortunately going to get a nasty reaction whatever you did as the mepitel film usually does the trick without the need for extra moisturizers. I think your best bet is to manage your reaction now, do you have solugel? If so keep it in the fridge, apply, let dry then apply moo goo over the top. Are they using dressings on the blisters? Mepilex lite is a great dressing for the high friction areas such as under your breast, armpit and bra strap. Also try and go braless as much as you can.
After you finish treatment there are different dressings that are able to be used including silver which work wonders. Hang in there! Xx
P.s please ensure the radiation nurses are reviewing your skin regularly, they know a lot more about the specific skin care than us radiation therapists
