I agree with Bobbie and Robyn. My Oncologist also said not to drastically change my diet before chemo and that a balance diet is the way to go. Let your body decide what you can and can't eat through chemo. My craving was also tomato. I used to eat them just like an apple! And salt. I had to have salty foods.
You will work out what you need and don't worry if you want something occasionally that's not quite healthy. Just eat what you want to eat.
Everyone is scared before chemo starts Rosanna. It's the unknown that is the most feared I think. You do get into a sort of routine when you have had your first one. You'll know more of what to expect. You need to go with the flow and listen to your body. Tell your oncologist about everything you feel after your first and they will be able to adjust your treatment or recommend medication to help with the side effects. I kept a journal about my treatments and took that along with me to my oncology appointments so I could remember my symptoms.
It's not easy by any means but you can do it. Before you know it you'll be finished.
Have a lovely Christmas Rosanna. You have some challenges ahead of you but you'll do just fine.
