  • Hi Di, I had chemo before my mastectomy - 3 x FEC and 3 x Docetaxel. My last was in August this year.  I experienced  a little bone pain, however like the other lovely ladies have suggested, Panadol Osteo or Neurofen help ease this. Mine was more 'discomfort' than pain. I had a Neulasta injection after each infusion also. Unfortunately all of my nails became weak, discoloured and ridges formed. I was unlucky and lost a few toe nails - my big ones, but it wasn't painful at all. It's all doable Di. We seem to find inner strength that gets us through each day. So I send you strength through spirit and hope that all goes well for you. Kerry xx

  • I am on docetaxel now.I am finding it not too bad.I haven't had any aches and pains in my joints.I have only had tiredness and the usual mouth stuff.Good luck Di,and let us know how you go.xoxRobyn
  • The good news is that the nausea side effect is usually better or gone entirely with this chemo drug. For me the main effects were tiredness and aches and pains. I found nurofen helped the best with the pain. Hope it goes well for you. Take care. Deanne xx
