Any advice or info.....I'm starting Zoladex
Ok Ladies,
So tomorrow is my first Zolidex implant - I am very nervous!
I have now done 2 months on Tamoxifen and despite being so scared about the side effects, I've actually found them to be very minimal. A tiny bit of nausea and a few days were I have felt really tired but other than that it's been completely fine. I'm eating well and exercising most days which I'm sure helps as well.
So now I start Zolidedx. Saw my onc last week and she warned me again of the side effects, but said these could be more extreme than Tamoxifen as Zolidex actually stops ovarian function all together (whereas Tamoxifen simply blocks the oestregen getting to any cancerous cells), and therefore there is a stronger hormonal change than tamoxifen. I'm scared of becoming grumpy & emotional!!! I've always thought a positive mindset can combat anything but now I'm not so sure.
So any advice or info regarding Zolidex would be most appreciated. I'll be taking it for 2 years - eek! :)
