Hi Jennifer, did you have your surgery in a public hospital? If so you would have a multidisciplinary team. All of this team would receive a copy of your pathology, this would include your surgeon, your referring GP, your breast care nurse and Oncologist.
My breast care nurse never bother to contact me "even though she said she was at the meeting when they were discussing my pathology and treatment plan. When I did see her she said, nice to meet you I have your pathology results upstairs and wondered who you were. This was 7 weeks after surgery.
The one problem that you may have is no one wanting to step on the Oncologists toes by going before him.
