Answers / help requested

Hi there ladies, I am just looking for some help please.  I have been on exemestane and everolimus for a few months now as I have secondary breast cancer in the liver.  Unfortunately the tablets do not seem to be working as my tumours have grown and I cannot increase my dosage due to the side effects.  I am meant to be post menopausal but have started a period which has been going 4 days now.  My Oncologist has booked me into a gynaecologist for further review.  I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen when on tablets to suppress oestrogen??  I know I am not meant to have a period so a bit confused.

Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine was on tamoxifen, and it made her bleed heavily. Her oncologist changed her to femora and the bleeding stopped along with any periods. I hope that this helps, Tracey B

  • hi Bombie- good that you are seeing a gynaecologist. They will be able to see what is going on. It might be that like Tracey said you may need to change to a different hormone blocker. Let us know how you go. Best wishes, Danielle
