Another test a different problem

I knew everything was going too well ! I turned 50 this year and received a fecal test which I did and sent back. I got the result in the post and it was positive :( so now I am waiting to see a specialist to get a colonoscopy. When I spoke to my oncologist she said not to worry there is often a false positive result when on Herceptin. Everyone else just tell me there are thousands of reseans for a positive result. I am not exactly worried about it as I reckon seeing as I often get constipation etc it has to do something to your internal workings especially after 3 years... I will be happy to get it over and done with as usual the waiting is the main problem Sue

    Hi Sue, what a pain! The waiting is the hardest part, isn't it? I wouldn't get too stressed though, because like you said, a positive result can be caused by lots of things. Cancer treatment certainly knocks the body around, so I wouldn't be surprised if its due to that! I've had tests come back positive, only to find out that it is a false alarm due to cancer treatment! Hang in there and let us know how you get on, Celeste ?
