Another newbie

Hi,

I was diagnosed after the dreaded mammogram callback. I've had a few surgeries and start chemo next month. I'm so very appreciative of BCNA and the online network. So much valuable support and practical information.

Cheers,

Fi (in not so sunny today, SE QLD!)

  • Hi Rowdy, thanks for your kind words. It is a huge relief to touch base with others who know from first hand experience what this treatment does to our lives. Hugs right back at you, Fi.

  • Hi Fi,

Welcome to the network.  This is a great place for support and advice.  A wonderful place to ask questions and just share experiences.  All the best with the chemo and hope you're recovering well from the surgeries.

  • Hi welcome to the site lots of support here, just ask and someone has some sort of experience so you don't feel so alone. I know when I joined I found it a great place to vent and ask questions. Take care you have along trip ahead of you. Take it one day at a time sending you a hugxx

  • Hi Genie,  good to hear you are recovering well from surgery.  I also had sentinel nodes removed and then surgery for more nodes, followed by chemo and then left mastectomy.  This site is a great source of comfort and support, especially when your chemo starts.  It is hard to describe to people who have not been diagnosed with bc the feeling of your life being out of control for such a long time during treatment.  This site certainly makes you feel you are not alone.  All the best for your upcoming treatment.
