Hi Dette,
My name is Viv and I was diagnosed in April. I had a mastectomy on May23rd. I was never given the chance to have a lumpectomy or radiation. I had a very large area of calcification around the node so the surgeon said I had to have a mastectomy. That has been hard to deal with still but each day gets easier. I was given exercises to do and I do them religeously. They make a difference. I am getting cording which is quite painful but massage helps ( I do this myself ). All I can say is that you may not hit the wall at all. I know it is a busy time for you and you tend to focus on that and just getting through each decison. It was kind of like that for me, " ok, that's done, now what"s next? " I have found everyone I have come in contact with regarding this has been warm and friendly and I do hope that is your experience. You may have hard choices to make along your journey but the ladies on this site are always here to talk to and give good advice and support. Let me know how you are doing and I wish you all the best for whatever this journey brings you. Sending good vibes your way Dette. I will look out for your blogs xx
