Welcome Karen, the ladies have pretty much 'nailed it' - I can only offer friendship and a shoulder like these other wonderful women, quite frankly even my husband commented "That website has done wonders for you Josie" and he is right - he has been my carer, my rock. We live in a small town and we moved here to take care of my elderly mother, we time passed, and she did too - so we were stuck thousands of miles from our children and grand children, and then this! We have been fortunate though because the locals have taken us into their hearts and homes - they all know me up at the local hospital and we sometimes have to travel a long way for many appointments in a larger town. I would like to say that you will go through a gambit of emotions, you will - but this website is a marvelous outlet and we are always here to listen and offer help in the best way possible. My children are all grown up and for awhile they acted like I had a 'bad case of the flu' It took time for me to realise they were just as frightened as I was....but I told them, please be 'normal' - normal is good! and gradually they are taking things on board bit by bit, I guess the 'bald head' brought it to the fore! It is hard having them in differerent cities and towns around the country and I miss them so much - thank goodness for Skype! I even get to talk to the grandchildren! You stay on board with us and we are here for you - even when you want to vent! This is one place you can laugh and cry and at least everyone in this club 'understands' believe me, I know, all the best with a biggie hug x Josie
