Hello Sara 54
No wonder you are angry. Love reading all the comments. Can't get over your story, someone is on your side girl. To have a CT scan that accidentally caught your head - only to find something WOW.
I am not too sure of my onco, he has allways made me feel like theres not much hope. Felt he was pessimistic, Not to good at explaining things etc. My last visit with him was the best one yet 6mths post chemo, i said I was starting to feel better, all my bloodwork was good he said. He seemed happy with me for the first time. Then I stuffed it all up by saying that the dizziness I had reported during radio was still there!!! Brain Scan ordered. Appt made for the Friday 28/11/14. And then onco redeemed himself greatly by phoning me at 6.45pm Friday night to tell me that the scan was normal. My eardrum may be damaged after chemo, he said something about an MRI but I wasn't really listening at that stage.
But it really makes you think - bloodwork he does is all that has been mentioned on this site, liver kidney and the cancer test. And with all these fine He was still quick to jump in with the scan. Do these tests pick up anything?? Knew they weren't good at picking up cancer in breast, but thought they were reliable for mets.
Anyhow thoughts are with you. Go get 'em
