Angry!!
Hello. Im needing to vent right now!! Im scheduled for my second round of chemo next Tuesday. For the past couple of days I have felt the sniffles coming on and thought I should do the right thing and head to A andE.
Ok simple blood test, tell me my counts are all good and on my way again! NOT QUITE!
I spoke with a triage nurse who would not look at my letter from the oncologist warning of neutopenia. I told her my situation and she refused to read the letter ! Details taken and put back in the waiting room. With sick people!
After nearly 2 hours of waiting, Im angry by now, I speak with another nurse who took one look at my letter and said "oh dear you are a priority patient who should not be out in the waiting room!"
Straight into a bed, bloods taken!!!!!! Thankfully Im O.K.!!!!!!! Some nurses really need to LISTEN to their patients, if I wasn't someone who speaks their mind I might still be waiting! xoxo Christie.
