Hi ladies, interested in all your comments re the femara or arimidex. I re read my earlier comment from when I first started femara, and had no side effects. Let me tell you, that I am now in the same boat as you all are. The side effects kicked in some 2 to 3 months after starting, and it became crippling in the early days. I take fish oil now, and have also just recently added Lyprinol. I still have stiff joints in my knees and ankles and hands, as well as trigger fingers now, but I know it has helped alot. In January I had to go off the fish oil for a month due to more surgery, as they are blood thinners. It was then that I realised how much relief I was actually getting, as my stiffness increased, and even like moving in bed was enough to wake me. Getting up from sitting or getting out of the car were very difficult. Now that I am back on the fish oil, the severity has lessened considerably. The lyprinol is a Blackmore's product, and from the green lipped NZ mussel. It is supposed to really help with joint inflammation, and so I now take both of these. It is still early days with this new drug, but I think it has started to do ssomething. I have been on it for 12 days, and they say it takes some weeks to notice improvement, but I am optimistic about it. Good luck with your aromotase inhibitors. Love Chris xx
