Anastrozole

I am 57 and  have been commenced on Anastrozole post diagnosis of breast cnacer. I had a mastectomy and recontruction, in addition to level 1 clearance of 11 lymph nodes. I am now cancer free. I have been on this drug for a week now and I feel like I have been thrown back into menopause. Night sweats and emotional ups and downs.....not happy! I have been told this drug reduces my cancer return risk by 3 %. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I am only having the hot flushes overnight, but makes it difficult to sleep. I have noticed I also have a "sore" lower back.  have decided to stick it out until 18th June when I next see Dr. Will discuss and negotiate treatment then. Thanks for your reply and I hope this continue to settle for you
