I've had BPV vertigo for years, pre-dating my diagnosis. It comes and goes. I thought my chemo and the medication I'm on now would set it off, but amazingly I haven't had an episode since starting treatment. I think it's generally age related, as mentioned the crystals in your inner ear start moving. Unfortunately for me the exercises don't work, they just make me feel sick, and I just have to ride it out. BPV is usually triggered by sudden head movements, rather than constant head spin, so it doesn't keep me in bed.
My husband has a different kind of vertigo which he gets occasionally and he has medication prescribed for that.

Hello I had a right side mastectomy 12 days ago. Vertigo commenced yesterday, but I also have Atrial Fibrillation & had a PET/CT Scan yesterday. Don’t quite know what to make of it, does anyone how common is vertigo following the whole surgical intervention/breast cancer
