I should bring you up to speed with Karen's latest appointment since her second surgery. On the 17th Karen received some good news which has shown us that some positive can come from such a terrible situation.
Karen had her scheduled appointment for the results of her second operation done May 27th.
Once we were able to see the Professor, Karen was informed that the lab results from the removed tissue investigation has shown that all the known cancer cells had been removed.
Karen will commence radiotheropy in about a months time. We won’t know how long the treatment will be for until she visits the team, it could be anywhere from three weeks through to six weeks and around the same time Karen will also commence a medication she’ll need start. Another appointment is scheduled in July and the next full check up will be in six months but as normal if she has any worries or concerns, will always be able to head to the clinic for a second check.
Some of our family / friends feel that this is it it’s over, but as all would know Karen still has a way to go, but from today's visit this is fantastic news for Karen and I.
I'm still hoping Karen will find her way here and event if she uses my login to ask questions or make comment, that's all fine by me.
