Hi ladies! Well its over, the radiation is done! We are back home - am loving it, though I have suddenly decided to take out funeral insurance and make a will - ok NO! I am not being morbid, but after the passing of my late Mother two years ago, I don't want to have my husband or children go through the stuff we had to endure - so on the POSSITIVE side, I want to get that gear out of the way! Biiiiiiiit depressing I know, but lets face it one has to be sensible about these things. I plan to hang around for quite some time to come - in the meantime I have 'peace of mind'. Now it is time for me to ENJOY the rest of my life and I am going to do so with both hands and send lots of love to all and happy times to all! x x x x x

Hi Joy, all the best with the remainder of your treatment. I was on the HERA trial in 2003 and was lucky enough to get the arm with Herceptin every 3 weeks for 1 year. Enjoy being home, you can't beat that can you. Sharon

well done on getting thru all that radiation rubbish, and moving on to the next phase of herceptin for 12 months. I too have done the herceptin 3 weekly trip (but for longer than 12 months-we just keep treating) I am now on a pill form of herceptin (giving that a go) so not doing the regular hospital trip, but we miss 'our girls' so much that we often grab a coffee and call in to the unit just to say hi. Don't feel too thingy about the funeral/will stuff. I have started making some plans for everyone celebrating my 'last day'..it gives me a feeling of control and i know that it will be just how i want it to be. Enjoy being home Sam xxx

I plan to do the same thing Josie.That way you can file it all away and get on with living.One of the reasons I am moving,downsizing is to set my husband up in house that will be easy to maintain on his own incase I snuff it.How morbid is that!!Anyway,like you Josie,I plan to be around a long time and enjoy my new house.But cancer forces us to think about all this doesn't it. Oh Tonya - here's a thing, on the weekend I made it my business to start wearing those new clothes, even when I am not going out......hey! I did go out yesterday to have my blood taken and get this! I got a compliment on 'how nice I looked!' You could have knocked me over with a feather! Any way, cement trowel yes! I hear you.....love those compliments - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm more! x

Hi girls,

I used to hate my squashed,distorted,pale radiated nipple but now it's gone I miss it.Isn't that the case with us humans.I have decided to try and like all my faults.Josie,get that makeup on with a cement troul if you have to!!

Hi Kathy

I had the nipple change colour too! (still red and itchy though) any way I want the docs to give me dates for Herceptin as we are planning to visit Tassie earlier - rather than wait until Herceptin has finished (middle of next year) so we want to do the Tassie thing in February.....kind of going by the weather thing! i use" no ammonia colour " these days on my hair.

i will go white and wear bright colours, is my plan, but not quite yet.

harry bought me a ring !!!!!! good news.it is an anniversary type ring. i call it " my cherish ring". 4 diamonds and 5 sapphires set in white gold. it suits me.

hi josie, hope you are planning the tassie trip for after herceptin. glad radiation is over for you too. my nipple changed colour after radiation. it went a lighter pink colour, and has stayed that way.

when i had other breast radiated, both nipples are the same shade now. ( TMI = too much information ? LOL )

Ha ha Tonya, love the description of 'tabby cat' hair colour - we used to call it 'salt & pepper' - in my case it is more salt than pepper! anyway from now on I love the expression tabby cat! I think that one is going to stick with me! x x x Joise
