Im doing well, apart from fatigue. Two more Herceptins, and in the middle, my 1yr U/S and MmG on my other breast and final check with my breast surgeon.
I am really happy with my new hair, which is curly and thick where my pre-chemo hair was very fine and very straight. Salt and pepper kisscurls but mostly darkish mouse.
But I have no idea at all how to style thick curly hair, and when I get up in the morning it sticks out like a wavy hedgehog.
Any tips from other curly girls?
It is all a voyage of discovery! And I am glad to find there are a few perks.
Oh, and to celebrate the begining, the date of my diagnosis, I sent a card to the (retired)radiologist who diagnosed my cancer, thanking her for saving my life and telling her things are going well and looking good. I got a card back from her saying how touched she was that I thought to bring her up to date with my story, that she misses learning what has happened to her patients.
So that was lovely.
