After treatments
Has anybody had any trouble with their toenails coming off and problems with their fingernails I have finished all my treatment end of December and it is just happening the last few weeks
Thanks Ka...
Hey Karen
I finished chemo and then radiotherapy back in September 2012 would you believe. My nails went a bit manky but I never lost any.
I did all the right things to keep my hair and nail good and healthy taking supplements etc. so they could come back great.
My nails and hair are quite good, hair is much thinner that before I lost it all, my nails have ridges running long ways down all of them and one nail has decided to partly come away from the skin behind the nail so that is not a good look. I have been told it is not fungal caused and quite possibly from chemo mmmmmmmm 2 1/2 years later so shows how long chemo can stay in your system and do funny things to our body.
I also relate to ongoing pain and sometimes I just cant cope with it so have to turn to pain killers which ease the pain but make me so tired I cant do anything anyway. If I wake up and feel good that day I am just so very grateful to be alive. Exercise does help but doesn't take away the pain but makes you feel better in my experience.
Best of luck to you and all our pink sisters xoxoxo Mich xo
