Hi Gerbera
As far as my understanding, the biopsy test confirmed it is a cancer cell, so have to removed. Preliminary stage the Specialist will propose you just cut the lump or the whole matectomy, and predict on going treatment.
Mine one was small around 15mm and suggested just cut the lump and radio will do, however they have wait until it cutted and to test on it how the stage and level. So turn out mine one is small but Stage 3 - most aggressive one, and also receptor positive on ER & HER2. It casue more complication on the treatment other than was first told.
You must be very confused and worry, it's good you come in here to visit the Site and lots of informations we can share. Please calm down and relax first (can't relax actually when knowing cancer)..... can't rush for it, seek some more opinion if you found may be helpful, discuss more with different specialist and make yourself clear what is this.
Cancer nowadays are too popular, I have no family background, eat very healthy. but just over stress to my family all the times. Can't tell exactly why it comes to me. However, this will be a new chapter, when being diagonised with cancer, it is just a start, and surgery was the basic step but haven't get rid of it yet. So please be brave and positive.
My surgery had finished, my on going treatment will be 6round Chemo, 6weeks radio, 1 year Herceptin, and 5 years Tamoxifen. I just start my chemo yesterday, lucky it's quite smooth. It will be a long journery, and the treatment might keep changing according to my body reaction. well, I'll put it as part of my life now.
I'd rather fix my stress and save myself.
Keep in touch with the Web, you definitely found a lot of information and supportings.
Good luck
Rosanna
