Advice on Port Removal

Hi Helen, I didn't get a choice, they did it just under a local for me, the local was very painful to administer and lots of pulling and tugging like described above. It was done in an exam room, where you have x-ray etc, is that odd? I don't know, certainly it they were relaxed about it. It was a regional public hospital. To be alert during this type of thing was kinda interesting but very weird also. I was just so happy to get it out. I guess the only benefit of no sedation or anaesthetic is just hopping up and walking out when finished. I imagine if I was worried and asked I could have had it done differently. All the best, Louise
