A year has gone by!

Oh Tonya - what is it about us! I had to giggle - years ago my eldest daughter left her cat with me (she was serving in the forces at the time) and the cat went missing.  One day she rang me up and asked me how the cat was - well, I thought I would tell a little fib and say the cat was just fine (I should know better than to try and tell a lie, white or otherwise) My daughter said to me on the phone "That's fine Mum, now do you want to tell me the truth?" I struggled and tried to 'pan out the fib most convincingly' (wrong move!) My daughter listened and said "Nice try Mother - but sorry, my cat had an ID collar - it was run over two days ago outside your neigbours house........and they rang and told me because I had my phone number engraved on the collar......" Gulp! Ooooooops! I had painted myself into a corner - and I was really sincerely apologetic - boy! did I feel stupid, and her cat was road pizza.

After that I told myself I have always been a bad liar, I always got busted so I should learn from that, however I keep one card up my sleeve, I maintain that it's ok to 'bend the truth' just so as no one gets hurt!  Save for staying cats of course!

By the way I don't think those doctors recognised me (I hardly recognise myself these days - lol!) any way they seemed way too forgetful!

Oh here's gem! Just when I thought Tassie was going to be the 'safe' getaway, my brother-in-law and his wife are going over at the same time! I hope they enjoy themselves - I havn't booked yet, I will wait until they book and then I will book different dates! ....................Ooooh she'th thuch a naughty girl! x x x x x
