A week of ups & downs

I feel like rubbish and it is very hard to keep the old emotions in check when your body is suffering. Being unwell in the lead up to cycle 2 certainly has not helped. I thought I was coming good as I have been on antibiotics since, but there is still something hanging around. I am off to see my oncologist to get some advice. It is funny how you can be dealing with one issue one day and a completely opposite one the next. I was so constipated from all the antinausea medication for a few days after cycle 2 and then I get awful diahhroea. I think my gut (from mouth to butt) are really suffering this time. Poor little cells getting hammered from all these drugs. On top of it I still think that I have some kind of throat infection going on. The fatigue this time has been about the same and I was feeling more energised but woke up this morning feeling lousy. Is there anyone out there who has investigated alternative therapies? Especially for energy levels or immune boosting. Would love to hear from you. Also for those that do yoga? Do you find it helps with the journey?

  • Hi

I finished AC chemo, Taxol chemo and 25 bouts of radiation about 4 weeks ago. Throughout my journey I was under the care of a naturopath who kept my doctors informed about what I was taking. Each time I started a different treatment my naturopath changed my supplements. I probably had 6 days all up during all my chemo where I felt really tired a bit like crap. I had no fatigue during radiation and I put this down to my amazing naturopath. She is in Sydney (don't know where you are). The only downside is the cost, as all those supplements can add up.
