You are a real trouper wearing a wig in this heat.It has to be very cool for my wig to appear now.I changed how I was tying my bandana and I went from chemo look to washer women/babushka look.Fold your triangle and tie it at the back of your head  as usual but only tuck in the underneath fabric-let the top part free.It gives the look like you are in the middle of housework! I'm onto headbands now and it's so much cooler- you only need about half an inch of hair .I call this my kung foo stage.

I agree,it's a fulltime job co ordinating the headgear.The heat and the hot flushes have to be factered in too.It was slightly easier in the winter cos I'd wear cotton beanies with scarves tied around or a cap with a scarf up around my neck or my wig.Now that it's hot I've launched my "summer collection"- cotton bandanas and headbands of every colour.Now that I have some hair(dark and curly I might add)I am wearing headbands that I have designed.They are cotton- cool and light and wide enough to hide a "no fringe"forehead.I've attached thinner strips to tie a bow at the back.They look good but only if you have abit of fluff on top!My 7yr old nephew came to visit and took one look at my headband then asked me if I was learning karate.I said yes so you better behave! So I am calling this style my kung foo stage.

I am so sorry to hear that your eyelashes have fallen out again :(  I have managed to hold onto some of mine so far (they are certainly a lot thinner than I started with though!) and my eyebrows are getting thinner by the day!

Hopefully yours will grow back really quicky and you will look gorgeous again soon

Well here's me whinging about my hair and you've just had major brain surgery. Hope it all went well for you.I guess hair loss is the least of your worries.I do admire you for letting it all hang out so to speak.I don't wear anything on my head at home but am yet to be brave enough to go out the front door"topless".Next week I have 2 lots of house guests staying so my challenge is to bare the head.Yes,I have taken lots of bald head photos so I can see progress otherwise it's hard to feel it's growing.Maybe when I dye my hair I may feel more like" me".

I hope you are making a good recovery and have lots of happy plans for this year.

sorry to hear about your eyelashes, and i think we get to a stage where we think our hair needs a bit of pulling to help it along, there are natural dies which you could use, and i know what you mean about people asking questions but we know they care but by your stage we are trying to move on, i just stopped wearing the hat when mine was a couple of cm's and i thought letting the air into it helps (I know it probably had nothing to do with it lol) I have just had a couple of anurysms clamped in december, and they shaved off the front of my hair (it looks like a 2 year old has attacked it, obviously the surgeon wasnt big on fashion lol), so i wore a hat for a couple of weeks, then i kept forgetting to put it on, so now i just think i can look like the bride of chuckie, but who cares lol.; Good luck with the changes you plan to make, little by little it all falls into place, so look forward to all the fun you are going to have. Please keep in touch with us, and make sure you take plenty of photos of you with the hair, because when it all grows back in, believe me you will want to look back and see how you looked, and by then you will probably be saying.. mmm it actually looked okay (ohh that last comments a maybe lol) Take Care Moira XXX
