I have developed a lump between my sentinel node biopsy scar, and my mastectomy scar. It is probably just scar tissue, but the more I worry, the more prominent it seems to become. It appears to be in the area where already a level 1 lymph node clearance took place about 19 months ago. My GP is wonderful, and suggested I have an ultrasound, so as to 'hopefully' put my mind at ease. I am having this today, and am now very nervous. This will include a fine needle biopsy if anything is discovered. The thought of recurrence is never far from my mind. I wonder if this fear will ever disappear with time. Love Chris xx

Hi Chris Good luck for today I to understand the fear of anything new just turning up, the hematoma that arrived not long after my surgery is still very promiment and sore and I worry .......what it underneath it, when will it go away, is the radiation causing it to harden. Great to hear some good news..... over the moon I bet?

I think we all will have that niggle in the back of our heads for ever.. the wondering if it will ever come back.....

But, so good to hear that you are okay.

So glad you got the all clear Chris.Somehow we have to live with that little dark cloud hanging over our heads.I hope you had a few celebration drinks last night-one for you and one for your son.Take it easy and don't over do it with that housework!

That is fantastic news Chris, I am sorry you have had such a scare so soon after your last journey. I'm not sure the worry will ever end, perhaps it is our new normal. Continue to be so proactive with your health it is the only control we have. Hope the party went well. Lara

Hey Chris

It saddens me that you have to go through more waiting and worrying. You are always there for us pink ladies so you can be assured that we are all here for you as well.

There is always that fear of a recurrence in the back of our mind. That is one of those dreaded things than anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer has to carry for the rest of their lives. Unless you have been there it is not something other people will necessarily understand.

I am wishing and hoping and sending you lots of good news vibes your way today.
