Not sure why they say that there will be less side effects than chemotherapy other than they seem to inject locally (rather than chemotherapy which is a systemic treatment). Freunds Complete Adjuvent has been used to make vaccines in the laboratory for years that are tested in animals. However, the vaccines are always reengineered prior to putting them into humans because Freunds Complete Adjuvent is too toxic for humans and does not have regulatory approval for humans. I think this technology is a long way off and has a number of hurdles to get over before it becomes a treatment for cancer!
