thanks so much for the information and sharing these stories. I've been completely overwhelmed with the idea of not only do I have cancer - but the Breast Physician has said they will recommend masectomy (probably bilateral). I'm strugglign with how to go forward with this - and I really appreciate reading this information. I meet with my surgeon on Wednesday - so I am so grateful that I am forewarned and will ask for things like skin-sparing masectomy options (and nipple- sparing...please spare the nipples!). I don't know what makes one eligible for these things or not - but at least I can now ask about it.
