A Great Day

Had my mammogram and ultrasound yesterday and my GP phoned me this evening to tell me it was all clear. Felt elated and weepy all at the same time! How fast can year go by and so much has happened. So onward and upward. Have recently joined a Dragon boat group and have found a new sport it's full of amazing BC survivors and it's great fun a great way to get fit. Have been out 3 times now and loved it. Got back in the groove with aquarobics too our local breast cancer support group has given us 8 sessions at the local pool for free. I used to go before I had all my surgery and treatments so was great to go back and be able to do everything.

We've also booked a holiday in Thailand in August and can hardly wait meeting up with one of my best friends from the UK and her partner and children will be a crazy time, not sure how I'll cope with the heat I usually melt and now I have the hot flushes I guess I'll just be a puddle!

So anyone out there wondering if you ever get your life back on track I can say a big YES but you have to work at it!

    thats wonderful , it's weird how happy news makes us cry too. gee you  by getting control back of your life, i finished treatment   4 years ago this nov but have been tripping around Australia and love it. 

    i finally saw ularu (ayres rock) and Alice springs ,Kununurra in WA and so much more. spent two months tripping around was wonderful. i cryed so many times, just happy to be alive, 

    two weeks ago went down the great ocean road again beautiful.

    soon we are going to see my Aunty in NSW at Toukley and slowly head up towards Cairns can't wait, Cancer makes us appreciate life so much more, it has me anyway. stay well XX FRAN

    What a relief to get the all clear . It's an anxious time going for that 1 year on mammogram .Sounds like you are getting alot of exercise.That's one thing I will have to make more of an effort with.Glad you got your life back.

    When you are up here in Cairns please contact me, would love to meet in person. The weather is great here at the moment beautiful clear skies, warm in the sun but cool at night. You will love it.
