A good day

Hi everyone, had an appointment with my surgeon today, and it was really good feedback. She said that I'm healing well and to come back in October. Then I had an appointment with my radiation oncologist 3 weeks after chemo finished. OMG, he explained that because there were 5 lymph nodes with cancer after my auxiliary clearance that my radiation will be not only to my mastectomy wound, but will also need treatment to my neck and collarbone. Not what I expected. The good news is that it reduces my risk for cancer recurrence from 30 percent down to 5 percent. Well worth it. So it all starts next Tuesday, because I'm an old menopausal bird, I only need 21 treatments. So then I was sent to the radiation department for a planning appointment, where I was marked with texts, and tattooed like a map. Ok, so now I'm an old tattooed bird ready for a very hectic few weeks. Luckily, my lovely hubby will be with me every step of the way.  My daughter and son live in Melbourne, 5 hours drive from home, so it will be great to spend dome time with them. Just sharing, I'm just a bit nervous, with a few mixed emotions. Bring it on! The sooner it starts, the sooner it finishes, hugs to you all, Trace ??????
