Thanks, Mia, for your lovely comment. I've been using rose hip oil and a beautiful paw paw ointment that the clinic sells at cost. It has calendula in it. So beautiful.
I've had a reaction to the aloe vera plant in the past so I didn't use it. Anyone wanting to try it would be well advised to to an alergy test first on the inside of the elbow. My nurse confirmed that she's also seen some very nasty reactions to it. For those that can tolerate it, it really is a wonder plant. I'm so glad it was useful for you.
Sorry to hear about your autoimmune disease issues. There's a lot of new work into improving this with things like high dose probiotics and faecal transplants. It seems that for some people, improving their gut health is the key. I don't know if this would apply to you but it may be worth looking into. I have made significant improvements to my health by adding Babushka kefir drinking yoghurt, green smoothies (apple, banana, kiwi fruit and kale with a teaspoon of hemp oil), and organic grass fed meat. I've also ditched alcohol and just about every kind of processed food.
Good luck with your continuing recovery.
Meg
