9 down, 25 to go...but I just want eyebrows!

So far so good with Tamoxifen! Don't feel any different but only day 3 today! Make sure in following your advice by taking it just before dinner....although I have forgotten to take it until I am digging in! So, another suggestion of yours.....have set the alarm on my phone!

So, as you can see, I am your #1 stalker!!!!

There is an excellent tutorial on you tube about how to draw your eyeborws.

I lost about half my lashes and half my eyeborws, they just looked as if I had badly plucked in all the wrong places ! I am a year past chemo now and still have very sparse growth on both. I lightly pencil the missing bits of eyebrow and as I never had terrific lashes in the first place, I use a soft eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger and it's fine (LGFB workshop was the best thing ever - I learned heaps)

I was totally happy to have no leg and underarm hair, and fortunately that is as slow in returning. Win some, lose some.

Knew I should have paid more attention at the look good feel better day...I had eyebrows and lashes then and was clearly lulled into a false sense of security. I'm not good with makeup at the best of times, will just have to suck it up and soldier on perhaps! Atleast my eyes have stopped watering like a tap I guess. Here's hoping we all either get eyebrows and lashes soon or don't lose them at all. Lisa

Hi Lisa, I've been waiting for my eyebrows and lashes to leave me. My friends keep saying how good it is that I still have them, but I'm fully expecting them to go. Next week is No. 5 chemo out of 6, maybe the time is soon:) I reckon I can still put some form of eyebrows on but the lashes are worrying me as I have no experience with eyeliner. Guess I'll wait and see, it's one thing after another, hey? take care,

I looked so weird no eyebrows or eyelashes, and the eyelashes take so long to grow back and then they are stubby for ages but they do eventually come back.

My eyebrows came back sparce and lighter in colour.

I bought a really soft coloured pencil and joined the dots so to speak. For the eyelashes I draw on a line on my top lid as advised by Look Good Feel Better and it does work.

OMG I so miss my eyebrows, they definitely change your whole appearance, but I've also had sore red angry eyes from no eye lashes - I miss them the most! I've had 11/35 radiation and while I have hair returning every where else my eye brows and lashes are still AWOL. I will never complain about cuts, colours, dyes, styles, straightening or waxing again! In fact I can't wait for a monobrow...lol

Thanks Deanne, I totally agree with you re appearance. I am only 6 weeks post chemo, but entrenched in radiation, so have a while to go I guess. I can deal with the hair on the head thing, that's what scarves are for, and if I ever get some hair on top of my head soon to add to my 'George' ring, I won't need a scarf. It's just wrong that your eyebrows and eyelashes are gone and there is hair growing on your shins! What's with that? Lisa
