7 / 8 chemo update

Laying awake in hospital, thought some may appreciate an update... l saw my lovely surgeon for a follow up today, she said Frankenboob is healing nicely & looks better than she was expecting (always encouraging when a golf ball sized foreigner was removed!) & not to come back til june :-) Saw my lovely oncologist too, she is happy with my progress & after next chemo day, l also don't have to see her til june...7/8 chemo all done! Next chemo day (18th march) will be a bittersweet day - thrilled to be done with it & excited to find out what my new "normal" will be like, but sad to be out of the fortnightly company & care of these amazing professionals - specialists, nurses, everyone here who has helped me in some small (or huge) way...it really is a humbling experience! Sending best wishes to all, & hugs to those who need them! From Bobbie

  • Its almost like they should throw us a party with streamers and balloons when we finish.

I felt that way when both chemo and radiation was over and it was kind of strange not seeing those people all the time anymore.

The sad thing is when we leave someone else takes our place.

I am pleased things are going well for you.
