Hi April, I got lumpectomy in Aug 2014. After the operation 3 or four weeks, part of my breast near where the operation was became red and hot, but not very painful. I went to a GP and he said I had some infection. The antibiotics cleared it. My sick breast looked discoloured after the operation, too. I don't know if your travel insurance will pay for you to see a GP in USA, I think my health is my life, and I hope you will see a GP to figure it out what is going on. Each body is different, my case may not be the same as yours.
