#5 Chemo Tomorrow
Its #5 chemo tomorrow, 2nd to last one. Am so not looking forward to it, can't stand the needles anymore. Went for my 3 weekly blood test yesterday and cried when the needle went in - it hurt like h...
Sounds like chemo has been very unpredictable and hard on you. But it's good you are walking abit and enjoying the"good"week.I hope the chemo on Friday is kinder to you.In a few weeks you'll be doing the happy dance and cracking open the bubbly to celebrate.I was abit upset when my hair took a good 10 weeks after chemo to start growing. It was about 5 or 6 mths before I could go without headgear but that's because a buzz cut style does not suit me and I'm abit vain.Radiotherapy WILL be a breeze after what you've been through. My skin never broke down, just glowed like a hotplate by the end of it.You get tired half way through but not like chemo tired.I've actually had bc twice. The first time was in 2003 when I had a lumpectomy, full node clearance and radiation. In 2010 it came back in the same spot so had to have a mastectomy and then chemo.I'm now on Tamoxifen, didn't need Hercepton. Yes,it's a rough ride alright and sometimes you can't see the light at the end of the dark tunnel but you'll see a flicker soon when that wretched chemo is over! Good luck for Friday.
