2nd surgery after one week

I am with sillysam, I go out bald, or with beanies.

I went out today to the local mall, shopping and didn't notice any real looks and like she said if they stare they have the problem NOT you.

I do tend to wear hats most of the time, simply becasue it is COLD in Canberra (already below zero every night (-3 tonight) and days are usually under 15 degrees and often under 10). I take my hats of indoors often becaseu Iget hot flushes from the chemo induced menopause.

You will figure out what is good for you. try a few things and see what makes u feel the best. I brought a cheap wig off ebay (like $20) to see if i liked wearing wigs first - not gonna spend like $300 on a wig and never wear it (like some of my friends)

It's so great to talk to you and you always make me laugh. I talked to my husband today and said 'do you mind if I come out bald?' He said no, but you can wear whatever you want, no matter wigs or scarves. Don't want to bother to get the cold hat. It doesn't work well on Asian anyway.

I have a few wigs. but i dont wear them day to day. i have alot of hats, scarves etc as wear those out (as melb is cold) i dont mind being bald at home or at friends etc - bald is beautiful - its just a little cold right now. if people stare thats there problem. i remember always looking at bald people and thinking - beautiful - they are being them and i always thought that was gorgeous. so if people are staring at you coz ur bald etc - just think that they are staring at how stunning you are. 

I stayed in the hospital for 3 nights again. 6 nights in two weeks and my daughter doesn't even recgonize me. :-( Back home now and really enjoy the feeling holding her and kissing her.

Thanks for caring. I am out of hospital now. Still have the drain on and makes a bit low. I will have Chemo soon in next 2 or 3 weeks. Haven't bother to think about the wigs yet. Do you think it will attract much attention if you go out without hair?

Ive had all my lymph nodes removed too... make sure you move your arm as normal as much as u can and do the excercises... :-) Any questions feel free to ask... took my arm a few weeks to feel a little bit back to normal...
