2nd IVF Cycle - We have Egg success!

Hi All,

Well today is day 6/12 and this morning Doc confirmed we have 5 maybe a 6pack of eggs responding to the daily injections. Yay!!!!!

Tony and I are eggstatic, hahahahhaa  get it!  :o) We weren't too confident this time around, going by last months  1 egg drama.  But, it must of just been my anxiety about having a 2nd lot of surgery that was blocking it last month.

It is still not all smooth sailing from here, we have to get through fertilisation, and then the big freeze and then the defrost whenever that will be, hoping in a couple of yrs.  So 6 eggs, could turn into 1 by the end of it, but 1 embryo is all the chance we need.

Have to go back on Monday to just check on growth and then make a call for collection, which will either be Wed or Fri next week.  AND then, my first lot of Chemo on 27th.....  :o|

Jeez, it has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride, these past 3 months!    

Hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying the lovely Spring weather.  Apparently, it will be close to 30 in Brissy this weekend, Yay!!  Might even put the feet in the pool..... maybe. :o)

    Congratulations and  well done that is happy news.  Now you can concentrate on finishing your treatment and getting better,all the best

    Best wishes to you.  I hear your exhuberation and anticipation.  My daughter and son-in-law went down this same path (without the bc) starting about 5 years ago and they included me in the process.  I understand some of your feelings - it is a tough time for you both but it is well worth it.  I have the most amazing little granddaughter from this process.  I send you all my good thoughts that you will experience this same joy.  It will come when the time is right for you.  One step at a time and you are heading in the right direction.  Good luck XLeonie
