2014 is MY year!

So I am 3 years past my diagnosis date and I am still cancer free! let me get a hell yes??!!

2014 is MY year!

let me begin with a list of what I have achieved so far pink sisters.....

1.  I went on a cruise with my gorgeous hubby to new caladonia and I swam in the ocean!..now this is from someone that cannot swim and has fear of the water! but I DID IT!

2. On this cruise I also went down the fastest and highest water slide in the wolrd (on a cruise ship)! not only once but twice! I DID IT!

3. BUT THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED IS; I have finally resigned from my current employment (dont want to name) but its in retail) and found a new job!......so a qwick background... my current employer have been ...lets just say...less than supportive in the last 3 years to say the least. Bullying/harrasment and forceful attitudes have come into play and I have stuck it out because to me- i am not gonna give them the satisfaction...i will leave on my OWN terms! SO I applied for 4 jobs in the last few weeks and I received a call to come into for an interview last week for the main one I was interested in and BAM I was offered it on the Friday!

WHAT JOB ???? you may ask... well I wil be the new fulltime medical receptionist at the Alfred Hospital in Prahran, Melbourne at the William Buckland Radiotherapy centre! Im so excited!

From retail to this! I feel so blessed that they believe in me to do this!  I cant wait to help those who will be going through this treatment as I know first hand what it is like :) so pink sisters...if you are doing your treatment here please say hello :) I will starting in a few weeks! and I will BE glad to give you a massive hug and say "KEEP GOING BECAUSE YOUR DOING AN AMAZING JOB!".

4. and lastly im turning 30 in June! omg!

  • congratulations; i still remember what a difference the receptionist made --friendly hello and seemed to know my name from the start; but just made a world of difference to radiation treatment

when you have been a patient you realise some of the little things that really support the process

    best wishes
